Although neither has made an official announcement regarding the wedding, the news has circulated nationwide after Maran's family presented a wedding invitation to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
The exact timeline of when the millionaire IPL team owner, who is a regular presence in the stadium during matches, and the music director fell in love remains unknown. However, they are reported to have been dating for an extended period. Conversations regarding their relationship and potential marriage initially sparked from a viral Reddit post in June 2025. Additionally, another post went viral in 2025 showing the two traveling together.
When the dating rumors previously surfaced, Anirudh addressed the speculation on social media. "We are not getting married. Stop spreading rumors," he stated at the time. Despite this past denial, Anirudh's uncle dropped hints this year that his nephew would marry a girl from a prominent family.
Reports now indicate that the couple's wedding is confirmed. The marriage ceremony is scheduled to be held in Greece on November 11. Following the destination wedding, a reception is planned to take place in Chennai on November 21.
