Correspondent, 24 October: It is no longer a new phenomenon for celebrities to face trolling when they express a clear stance on social media. However, instead of ignoring the harassment, 'Comedy Chi Bullet Train' fame actress Prajakta Hanamghar chose to confront it head-on. She delivered a fierce response to a troll who stooped to an extremely low level to criticize her, a matter that is currently generating heavy discussion across social media.
Prajakta recently took to her Facebook account to share a few screenshots. The images revealed a user bombarding her with highly objectionable terms, calling her 'hijade' (eunuchs), 'homosexual', 'anti-national', and 'leftist'. Rather than reacting with anger to this offensive language, the actress permanently silenced the troll by reposting a detailed, well-researched post written by actor and writer Pankaj Panchariya.
Through his post, Pankaj thoroughly schooled the user. Taking on the specific remark, "Prajakt, you are a hijada," he clarified that utilizing anyone's gender or sexual identity as a swear word is completely wrong and inhumane. By citing examples that ranged from Shikhandi to the original meaning behind the word 'hijada', he highlighted the user's ignorance.
Furthermore, Pankaj candidly stated that being homosexual is not an insult but a natural sexual condition. Providing detailed information about the LGBTQIA+ community, he explained how hatred born out of ignorance proves fatal. According to him, while political ideologies can certainly differ, resorting to such language is condemnable.
Pankaj's post also brought forward the grim reality that many individuals have ended their own lives due to the misunderstandings prevalent in this society. By sharing this very post, Prajakta struck a blow against this societal mentality. Her bold stance is receiving massive support from netizens, with many standing firmly by her side.
